What exactly is a Beauty Tramp? It's one who travels the world in search of beauty. Wandering down the streets of a foreign city with my camera (OK, phone) in hand and my eyes wide open is my absolute favorite thing to do. Looking at the world through a camera lens focuses my attention on the details that may otherwise go unnoticed. As I explore I search for interesting color combinations, textures, and patterns. I’m inspired by wildly disparate things—the complexity of ancient tiles in a Roman church, the cut of a stone sidewalk in Lisbon, the bold graphics of a concert poster in Paris, the tangle of power lines in Mexico City, or the multitude of greens found in the jungles of Colombia. Not only do I come home with a head full of ideas, I also buy local artisans’ work while I travel and use it in my clients’ spaces or sell it here online. I just can’t pass up beautiful things!
My designs are an amalgamation of the beauty I encounter around the world, the passions and experiences of my clients, and my background in the visual arts. I create spaces that are unique, functional, personal, and above all else, beautiful.
